WORLDSTORY WELCOME TO FABULOUS
Welcome to Fabulous! The origin of this world story is a metallic bear character created for an iPhone augmented reality experience in 2018. The metallic bear character looked like 1950s and 1960s squarish, rectangular robots. What was really interesting about the metallic bear was how the bear was programmed to respond to the proximity sensor in iPhone.
In augmented reality, when moving the iPhone towards the projected metallic bear, the upper torso of the bear would fade away to reveal a glowing, pulsating sphere that represented the bear's heart. The closer the iPhone got to the metallic bear, the heart would glow brighter and pulsate faster. When the iPhone was moved away from the projected metallic bear, the intensity of the glow would fade, the speed of the pulsation would slow and the torso would become more opaque.
After seeing the metallic bear respond to the iPhone proximity sensor, a different bear was created to dance. Instead of squares and rectangles, the dancing bear was made of different sized spheres. Instead of a silver metallic texture the dancing bear was given a gold texture.
For this world story, a concert stage was created to showcase the the dancing bear. (The human imagination is amazing.)
